The Ayr-born superstar will headline the huge event in Tampa after being the last man standing in the Royal Rumble in Houston, Texas in January. McIntyre entered the Rumble at number number 16 and eliminated six WWE superstars on his way to winning the match for the first time in his career.

However, it was an early elimination that we are all talking about. Brock Lesnar entered the Royal Rumble at number one as he looked to be the first reigning WWE Champion to win the Royal Rumble since Hulk Hogan in 1990.
Lesnar looked on course to do so as he eliminated the first 13 entrants. He was in a dominant mood as he eliminated Ellias, Erick Rowan, Robert Roode, John Morrison, Kofi Kingston, Rey Mysterio, Big E, Cesaro, Shelton Benjamin, Shinsuke Nakamura, MVP, Keith Lee and Braun Strowman.
No-one could get near the Beast Incarnate until he was finally eliminated by McIntyre after 26 minutes. The Scottish superstar needed a little helping hand from another wrestler. The already eliminated Ricochet hit Lesnar with a low blow from behind, which allowed McIntyre to hit him with a Claymore Kick and send him over the top rope.

Lesnar was livid and went looking for immediate revenge on Monday Night RAW, attacking McIntyre moments after he confirmed that he would be challenging ‘The Beast Incarnate’ for the title on the grandest stage of them all in April.
Lesnar has held the WWE Championship since beating Kofi Kingston in a matter of seconds on SmackDown in his first televised non-PPV match in 15 years. After winning the title, he moved over to RAW to fight on their Monday night flagship show.
But will he successfully retain against McIntyre? The bookmakers say no.
William Hill has now released its odds for the main event match of WrestleMania 36 and the bookie is backing McIntyre to make history on a weekend when late great ‘The British Bulldog’ Davey Boy Smith goes into the WWE Hall of Fame.
McIntyre is 1/2 to be victorious and walk away from Tampa as Britain’s first ever WWE champion, with Lesnar 6/4 to keep Britain waiting.
