WrestleMania 37 Betting Tips & Predictions

Dave Kuzio:
WrestleMania 37

WrestleMania 37 will once again take place over two days at the Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida. Check out our predictions and tips for selected matches on the card.

The ‘Grandest Stage of Them All’ will be held over two days for the second year running, but the main difference is that there will at least be some fans in attendance. Mania is the biggest event on the sports entertainment calendar and around 25,000 people will be able to witness all the action on Saturday and Sunday.

Here are few predictions & tips on some of the biggest matches on the card:

Sasha Banks v Bianca Belair – WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship Predictions & Tips

Bianca Belair ensured she was one of the headline acts at WrestleMania 37 after winning the women’s Royal Rumble in January. The winner of the Royal Rumble automatically gets a title shot against the RAW, SmackDown or NXT champion at WrestleMania. After a few weeks of guessing games, Belair decided to select SmackDown champion Sasha Banks as her Mania opponent. With both wrestlers being ‘faces’, you would think it would be hard to promote a rivalry between the two, but WWE managed to do it with an interesting but predictable storyline. They paired Banks and Belair together as tag team partners as they challenged for the belts against Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler. They were unsuccessful in their quest to take the belts, meaning there was a bit of friction heading into Mania. This will be an intriguing battle with both wrestlers being incredibly talented. Banks has had the belt in her possession since she beat former best friend Bayley on October 25. I think that is long enough for a title reign, so I am backing Belair to win her first title in the WWE.

Bobby Lashley v Drew McIntyre – WWE Championship Predictions & Tips

WrestleMania 36 was supposed to be Drew McIntyre’s crowning moment. The Scotland-born wrestler was already to headline Mania in front of thousands of fans when he won the Royal Rumble to set up a WWE Championship title match against Brock Lesnar. The match went ahead but the show was played behind closed doors to deny McIntyre his ‘Mania Moment’, he won the championship, but no one was there to witness it. He will once again challenge for the title at WrestleMania 37, but there will be around 25,000 to see it live this time around. He will take on Bobby Lashley, who defeated The Miz for the title. This rivalry started when Lashley brutally attacked McIntyre at the Elimination Chamber, allowing The Miz to cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase and win the title from McIntyre. Lashley then challenged The Miz as a thank you for assisting his title victory, and the former MMA star won the belt in a lumberjack match. Lashley is being portrayed as a beast, but I cannot buy into his character. I really want McIntyre to win, and I am backing him to do so, just so he can have his Mania Moment in front of thousands of screaming fans.

Roman Reigns v Edge v Daniel Bryan – WWE Universal Championship Predictions & Tips

I recently saw a post on Social Media saying that Daniel Bryan would be taking on Godzilla and King Kong (stars of the Hollywood hit movie), hinting at the fact that whenever two people or characters start a massive rivalry, Bryan has to be included. The famous saying ‘there is no show without Punch’ rings true with Daniel Bryan. He always finds a way to be involved, but for once this makes sense. Roman Reigns is being portrayed as this unbeatable monster that cannot be stopped, while Edge is the winner of the Royal Rumble and gets his deserved shot at the Gold. If this was a one-on-one match, there is no way that the WWE would allow Edge to win the title fair and square against Reigns – this is where Daniel Bryan comes into it. I am backing the Rated-R Superstar Edge to pin Bryan with the spear to win the title. This allows Edge to get his comeback moment, but also allows Reigns to drop the belt without actually getting beaten. This will start a feud between the former Shield member and Edge, with Reigns eventually getting his belt back.
