The World Wrestling Entertainment Hall of Fame honours some of the greatest wrestlers ever to enter the squared circle. WWE also pays tributes to non-wrestlers who have contributed to the company over the years.
It was originally known as the ‘WWF Hall of Fame’ from 1993 but it wasn’t as big a deal as it is today. The award took a break for eight years after 1996 and came back as the WWE Hall of Fame in 2004. This was now a special award ceremony which took place on the same weekend of WrestleMania.
The Hall of Fame gets bigger every year with some of the biggest names ever, some of them are not even from the wrestling world, collecting the prestigious ring and being able to call themselves a Hall of Famer.
