Tai Tuivasa v Alexander Volkov UFC 293 Betting Tips & Predictions
The second biggest fight on the card is Tai Tuivasa fighting on home soil against Russia’s Alexander Volkov in the heavyweight division.
These two are quite evenly matched. Tuivasa is ranked number six with Volkov number eight. The winner of this bout will move a step closer to a heavyweight title shot against Jon Jones.
Aussie Tuivasa, who delights fans when he drinks beer out of his shoe after a win, has a pro record of 19 fights, 14 wins and five defeats.
He has lost his last two fights against Ciryl Gane and Sergei Pavlovich, so he will hoping some home comforts will spur him on to victory.
Volkov has won 36 of his 46 bouts. He has 10 losses to his name. He comes into this fight on the back of a TKO win against Alexander Romonov in March.
Both fighters have punching power, so I cannot see it going the distance.
I expect the Australian crowd to get behind Tuivasa, so I am backing him to claim a second-round KO victory.
