Aljamain Sterling will defend his UFC bantamweight title at UFC 292 at the TD Garden in Boston against number two-ranked Sean O’Malley.

Aljamain Sterling will make his fourth defence of his UFC bantamweight title when he takes on Sean O’Malley at UFC 292 this weekend.
Sterling is definitely a fighting champion. He won the belt back at UFC 259 when Petr Yan was disqualified for an illegal knee.
Yan was handed a rematch at UFC 273 with Sterling getting a split decision victory. Sterling then claimed victories over TJ Dillashaw and Henry Cejudo and he now hopes to add O’Malley to his lengthy list of victims.
O’Malley is a bit like Marmite. You love him or hate him, there is no in between. Some fans feel he deserves this title shot, while others think he is nowhere near becoming a champion.
‘Sugar’ has a professional record of 18 fights, 16 wins, one loss and one no-contest. The only big-name fighter he has been in the Octagon is Yan, and he beat him on points.
Beating a fighter like Yan, I suppose he does deserve this chance, but I cannot see him beating Sterling.
The ‘Funk Master’ has won 23 of his 26 fights with 11 of them going the distance. I am backing Sterling to get his arm raised after five absorbing rounds.
