Israel Adesanya will defend his middleweight title against Sean Strickland as the UFC returns to Australia for UFC 293.

Israel Adesanya regained his UFC middleweight title when he got revenge on Alex Pereira at UFC 287 in April.
‘The Last Stylebender’ initially became champion when he defeated Robert Whitaker at UFC 243 after holding the interim belt for six months.
He made five successful title defences before Pereira knocked him out at UFC 281.
Adesanya got his revenge at UFC 287 as he did the same to Pereira inside two rounds to hold the gold again.
Sean Strickland is appearing in his first UFC title fight and I expect him to cause Adesanya a few problems – but not enough.
Strickland has a professional record of 32 fights, 27 wins and five defeats – one of those losses was against Pereira.
This should be a good main event, but I am backing Adesanya to retain his belt with a second-round stoppage.
