Match Previews & Tips/

The Scottish Premiership is the top flight of professional football in Scotland and it is one of the more unique league setups in Europe because late in the season the 12-team division is split into two groups of six with the top six battling for Europe and the bottom six fighting against the drop.

The league has been dominated by Rangers and Celtic over the years and while its reputation has diminished badly over the past decade or so, the Scottish Premiership is still the home to the most famous - and most volatile - derby match on the planet - the Old Firm. With just 12 teams in the top flight you will see at least four matches between Celtic and Rangers.

And in recent seasons, these highly anticipated showdowns have featured in bookmaker bet365's live streaming coverage which is free to all customers that have a funded account at the firm's website. So not only do bet365 have the key matches covered, Bettingpro.com will have all of the betting tips, odds and news you need as well as information on how to bet on & watch matches live online.

SCOTTISH PREMIERSHIP HISTORY

The top flight has undergone significant re-brandings and format changes over the years, but one thing that has been consistent is the dominance of Glasgow's big two - Rangers and Celtic.

Rangers have set the benchmark of 54 Scottish titles since the top flight was launched in 1890, making them the most successful club side on the planet when it comes to winning the domestic title, although their financial collapse in 2012 and subsequent exile from the top flight has allowed Celtic to close the gap.

Celtic's 48th title success came during a season to remember for the Hoops, who set numerous records as they went the entire 2016/17 season without suffering a domestic defeat, winning the Premiership, the Scottish Cup and the Scottish League Cup. In the league they set new records for most wins and most points and it is going to take an almost flawless season for any other club to eclipse those numbers.
