LATEST: Bookies back Stacey to waltz off with Strictly crown

Stacey Dooley looks set to win the Glitterball Trophy in this weekend’s Strictly Come Dancing Final, according to bookmaker Ladbrokes.

The documentary film maker has been heading up the betting for several weeks now, and Ladbrokes is not ready to abandon her on the eve of the final.

Stacey is just 8/15 to be crowned the winner, with Joe Sugg thought to be her biggest threat at 9/4.

Despite scoring high on the leaderboard in recent weeks, the bookies expect the backlash about Faye Tozer and Ashley Roberts’ pre-show dance experience to continue.

Ex-Steps star Faye is a 10/1 shot, with former Pussycat Doll Ashley a 33/1 rank outsider.

“It would be a huge surprise to see anyone other than Stacey win this weekend,” Ladbrokes’ Jessica Bridge told

“She’s been on the biggest Strictly journey and, despite being an incredible dancer, it means someone like Ashley is really going to struggle to topple her.”

Ashley Roberts went close to being crowned ‘Queen of the Jungle’ when she appeared on the 2012 series of I’m A Celebrity, finishing runner-up, and now the former Pussycat Doll will attempt to go one better when she struts her stuff on the Strictly dancefloor this year. But will Ashley be the cat that got the cream at the end of the series, or will she run out of lives with the judges?

Faye Tozer

Faye Tozer is no stranger to performing under the bright lights having racked up 14 top five singles, three number one albums and over 20 million in record sales during her time as a member of cheesy 90s and noughties band Steps, but will her performances on the Strictly dancefloor be a ‘tragedy’ in the eyes of the judges?

Joe Sugg

Joe Sugg is a social media Vlogger best known to his eight-million-plus followers/subscribers as ThatcherJoe. But will the Vlogger get a flogging from the judges for some woeful dancing or will the social media star become a dancefloor sensation?

Stacey Dooley

Once an unknown airport worker, Stacey Dooley as become an award-winning documentary maker over the past decade, earning herself an MBE at the start of the year. But will her performances on the dancefloor earn her honours from the judges, or will their factual reporting of her fances result in her heading to the Strictly departure lounge without the famed Glitterball Trophy?

Strictly Come Dancing's popularity means there is no shortage of bookmaker websites where you can place your bets on the most popular shows on television, but with so many bookies to choose from which ones offer the most competitive odds and the best service?

Not only does offer advice on what bets you should place on Strictly Come Dancing, we also offer advice on which bookmakers you should use. Our comprehensive reviews give you a rundown of what you can expect from the bookies when you become a customer of theirs.

Is there an incentive to sign up at the website - ie. free bets, risk-free bets etc? Are their odds competitive? Do they offer much variety in the way of markets? What special promotions can I use to insure my bet or boost my pay-out if it is a winner? What standard of customer service can I expect?

All of those questions, and more, are answered in our reviews that you can access HERE.

The sign-up incentive has become a staple of the betting industry with bookmakers now offering new customers the chance to claim free bets, risk-free bets and more when they register for a new online account.

But what offers are available to you right now? Below is's favourite bookmaker welcome offers at this time...

Strictly Come Dancing continues to be a staple of BBC’s schedule during the final few months of the year and the bookmakers continue to give customers the opportunity to bet on several different markets for the popular television show.

This market is fairly obvious – you are betting on who the winner of Strictly Come Dancing will be. This market opens before the final line-up is even confirmed, but in most instances it is probably wise to wait until the list is confirmed before you place your bets. This market is available right through the series with odds fluctuating depending on how the celebrities perform, and this is a programme that has tended to throw up some surprise winners over the years so there is potential to make a tidy profit by backing a dark horse.

Winning Gender

Again, this is straightforward. For this market you are betting on the show’s Winning Gender. That means you do not have to choose the winner of the show – you are simple betting on whether the winner of the series is male or female.

Next Elimination

Once the live shows are up and running you will be able to bet on who will be the next act to be eliminated. As is the nature of this type of show, there can be upsets that provide a decent profit if you manage to successfully predict one. But of course, those acts that are expected to struggle and head home early will always be priced up at short odds.
