Becoming a ‘celebrity’ has seemingly never been so easy thanks to the world of social media, and we have Youtube to thank for creating a ‘fight’ that makes last year’s meeting between unbeaten boxing legend Floyd Mayweather and UFC superstar Conor McGregor look like the ‘Rumble In The Jungle’.
KSI launched a successful Youtube channel in 2008 that consisted of footage of him playing games like FIFA and Grand Theft Auto, and in 2011 he crossed over into the world of music to launch a career as a rapper.
Now the 25-year-old appears to fancy himself as a boxer and having made his amateur debut with a third-round TKO win over fellow Youtuber Joe Weller back in March, he turned his attention to the Paul brothers by calling them out for another battle of ‘Youtube’ stars.
That challenge was accepted by the older brother, Logan, who caused controversy earlier this year when he shamefully uploaded a video of himself finding a dead body in a Japanese forest, and KSI has vowed to put the American “in his place”.
"I think his ego needs to be put right down," the Londoner told reporters. "He thinks he’s the s**t and I’m about to f**k him up and literally put him in his place. I want this year to be the worst year of his life, 100%. Pretty much, I want to squeeze every bit of relevancy from him and then move on to my bigger goal, which is to go pro."
Paul, of course, is predicting an entirely different outcome.
"It’s not a prediction, it’s fact. Third round knockout," Paul said. "I’m fighting a sack of potatoes. KSI, you suck. It’s gonna be a big deal. I don’t think this kid knows what he’s gotten into to."
So who will deliver on the pre-fight trash-talk & 'diss tracks' and emerge the winner? We look at how these two ‘fighters’ stack up with the Tale of the Tape…
