Super Rugby Unlocked Predictions & Tips: Stormers v Cheetahs (Saturday 17:00 GMT)

The Stormers will be looking to close the gap on Super Rugby Unlocked leaders the Bulls when they return to action against the Cheetahs at HL Newlands in Cape Town on Saturday.  The Stormers are currently in second place with a points tally of 13 thanks to three wins from four matches. The Cheetahs, on the other hand, are in fourth position just one point behind their oppo0nents having won two from three. The Stormers ran in five tries in their 39-6 round five win over Griquas with Angelo Davids scoring two tries, while Ernst van Rhyn, Neethling Fouche, Dan du Plessis and Damian Willemse all crossing. The Cheetahs come into this game on the back of their only defeat of the season as they went down 19-13 against the Sharks, in a game they led 13-9 heading into the final stages. That defeat was hard to take for the Free State outfit, but unfortunately for them I can see them crashing to back-to-back defeats when they face the Stormers. The Stormers have won their last five games against the Cheetahs, while the Cheetahs have yet to concede a try in the first half of any game this season. I think that record will come to an end on Saturday as I am backing the Stormers to win by 1-12 points, with Du Plessis adding to the two tries he has scored this season by scoring at any time.
