Super League Tips – Liam Farrell 1st try scorer for Wigan Warriors against Salford Red Devils @ 20/1 Paddy Power
In recent weeks, I’ve gone for wingers to score the first tries with not a lot of success. I’m changing my tactics this week and going for Liam Farrell to open the scoring when league leaders Wigan travel to take on Salford Red Devils on Friday. Farrell has hit the ground running in 2020 and his form has seen him make his way back into the England squad. His partnership on the left with Jackson Hastings and Bevan French is lethal, so I’m backing the ‘Ginger Pearl’ to score the opener.
Super League Tips – Luke Thompson 1st try scorer for St Helens against Castleford Tigers @ 28/1 Paddy Power
Again, I’m going for a bold pick in this game. Great Britain prop forward Luke Thompson is in fine form for the defending champions. He refuses to take a backward step and is also capable of getting the odd try. If Saints got off to a fast start, then expect Thompson to be driving the ball in as hard as he can. Don’t be surpised if he manages to find a gap and grab the opening try.
