NRL Predictions & Tips: St George Illawarra Dragons v Canterbury Bulldogs (Sunday, 07:05 BST)

St George Illawarra Dragons will be looking to put a stop to a three-game losing streak when they host bottom club Canterbury Bulldogs at the Netstrata Jubilee Stadium on Sunday. A few weeks ago, many people were touting the Dragons for a top-four place after winning four on the bounce, but the wheels have come off and they are struggling to score points. In their last three games they have only scored 32 points, and let’s be honest if they cannot score points against the Bulldogs then they can kiss goodbye to any hopes of making the play-offs. The Doggies are bottom with just one win, but they have started to show signs of improvement under Trent Barrett. The Dragons will be without star centre Zac Lomax after he dislocated his thumb, and he will be replaced by Tyrell Fuimaono. Cody Ramsey will start on the wing despite taking a knock to the ribs, while Mikaele Ravalawa and Jordan Pereira are both still suspended. Dallin Watene-Zelezniak is back at full-back for the Doggies with Nick Meaney moving to the wing. Dylan Napa has been named in the front row, but he will be monitored before kick-off after picking up a shoulder injury last weekend. The Dragons are obviously missing some key personnel, but they have enough quality in their side to beat the Dogs. Matt Dufty will need to be at his best and if he can chime into the attack on the back of groundwork from Corey Norman and Ben Hunt, then the Dragons will get back to winning ways.
