Max Verstappen set a new F1 record last time out with his 10th consecutive win, which has never happened in the 73 years since the sport’s inception.
Verstappen extended his lead at the top of the World Drivers’ Championship with the gap being 145 points in front of his teammate Sergio Perez and Red Bull could clinch the constructor’s title this weekend if they get 1-2 and Mercedes fails to pick up any points.
Charles Leclerc has topped FP1 and Ferrari will look to end the chokehold that Verstappen has on the top spot of the podium.
McLaren have come to Singapore with upgrades and are looking to push up the standings at the back end of the season. Lando Norris finished fourth in FP1 and will be searching for that first win of his F1 career soon.
The other McLaren driver will be looking to push on in his already impressive rookie year. The 22-year-old Australian has two top-six performances to his name so far in the peak of motorsport and I am backing him to make it his third in Singapore.
I think Verstappen’s run will end at Marina Bay when Charles Leclerc gets on the top step of the podium with Norris and Verstappen on either side of him.
