It is the moment that we have all been expecting this season. Max Verstappen can secure his third straight World Driver’s Championship this weekend in Qatar.
Verstappen can get the Championship as early as Saturday with this being a Sprint weekend. Max has to finish sixth or higher in the sprint race to win the Championship for a third time.
If he finishes below that, it all depends on how his teammate does as Perez is the only one that can catch the Dutchman.
I think he will win the championship in the Sprint race, and I think he will take all eight points in that race.
Max Verstappen was dominant at the last Sprint weekend (Belgian GP), finishing first in the Qualifying and Sprint Shootout sessions, as well as the Sprint and Sunday’s Race.
McLaren are on fire recently, getting a double podium in Japan and Lando getting a second-place finish in Singapore. I think McLaren will get another podium and it will be the Brit who gets it again.
I also think that the final step of the podium will be another Brit, by the name of George Russell. He needs a good performance to up his confidence with his team after the past few weeks.
Liam Lawson’s brief stint at Alpha Tauri has seen him finish 13th, 11th (x2) and 9th, beating his teammate on all four occasions. I think he will get another points finish in Qatar.
