History of Formula 1

Formula 1 Drivers' Championship

Michael Schumacher continues to be the most successful Formula One driver of all time having won the Drivers’ Championship on a record-setting seven occasions, while the most successful active drivers at this time are six-time winner Lewis Hamilton and four-time champion Sebastian Vettel. With his world championship win in 2019, Hamilton became the most successful British driver in the history of Formula 1 and he is now one world title away from tying the legendary Schumacher as the greatest driver in the sport’s history.
