Jack Grealish hit the headlines for all of the wrong reasons this week, but the bookmakers do not believe it has put off potential suitors in the race to sign the Aston Villa star.
Just hours after telling football fans everywhere to stay at home, Grealish failed to take his own advice as he went out for a late-night party and ended up crashing his car, earning him plenty of unwanted attention.
But would his antics ruin the possibility of a summer switch away from Villa Park? Apparently not.
Bookmaker 888Sport remains confident that Grealish will be on the move this summer and is 6/4 that he puts pen-to-paper on a deal with Manchester United before the close of the summer transfer window.
It is not ruling out the possibility of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer changing his mind though and the firm has cut the odds on Leicester City midfielder James Maddison following former team-mate Harry Maguire to Old Trafford, going from 3/1 to 2/1 about that deal being struck.
“We still think Grealish’s move to Manchester United is on for this summer,” an 888Sport spokesman told Bettingpro.com. “We are pricing it up at 6/4 that the Red Devils swoop for him in the coming months.
“However, we have cut the price of James Maddison moving to Old Trafford. If Solskjaer decides Grealish is more trouble than he’s worth, Maddison could be the man to benefit most.”
Jack Grealish’s Next Club: Manchester United @ 6/4 888Sport
Manchester United are the current favourites with Paddy Power to get Grealish’s signature, but that isn’t too surprising seeing as United seem to be linked with every single player at the minute. Earlier in the season, you would have put your house on Grealish joining United as they were terrible, but now they have Bruno Fernandes running the show. The main question is, do they now need Grealish?

Jose Mourinho at Tottenham Hotspur will probably have to make a big signing in the summer to keep the Spurs fans onside. Whether that signing is Grealish remains to be seen. Mourinho has improved the form of Dele Alli since taking over as manager, and if he remains in London, he could also turn Grealish into a world class player.
Jack Grealish’s Next Club: Chelsea @ 10/1 Paddy Power
Despite having their transfer embargo listed, Frank Lampard has only made one signing. They have acquired the services of Hakim Ziyech from Ajax from the start of next season, so Chelsea fans would love to see their manager start being more active in the transfer market as they look ahead to next year. The Blues might not actually need Grealish with the likes of Ross Barkley and Mason Mount taking their chances, while they still have N’Golo Kante in the engine room of their midfield. If Grealish does join Chelsea, he could end up being a bit part player just like Danny Drinkwater was.
Jack Grealish’s Next Club: Leicester City @ 12/1 Paddy Power
Former Premier League winners Leicester City are currently third on the Premier League ladder and they could have been closer in the title race if they had a goal scoring midfielder like Grealish. Just think of the damage the Foxes could do with both Grealish and James Maddison together, or he could be seen as a direct replacement if Maddison decided to leave Leicester. Grealish could be the provider the Foxes need to unleash the likes of Jamie Vardy, Kelechi Iheanacho and Ayoze Perez.
