Manchester City are still unsure whether or not they will be in the Champions League next season, until that decision is made the future of Pep Guardiola will always be up for discussion.

Pep Guardiola will always be in demand when a top club is in need of a manager. The former Barcelona and Bayern Munich manager has made it clear that he wants to win the Champions League with City, if that is taken away through the Financial Fair Play suspension, then he may reconsider his options.

He has already stated he will remain with Manchester City, but if the suspension does actually go ahead, he may change his mind.

If Guardiola does leave Manchester City, here are the top four replacements ready to take his job:

Manchester City Next Manager: Mauricio Pochettino @ 11/4 Paddy Power

Mauricio Pochettino has been out of work since being sacked by Tottenham Hotspur on November 19, it was reported that the Argentine would be back in work within a matter of weeks, but as we head into April, he is still unemployed. He has been constantly linked with taking over at Manchester United, but if the City job came up, there is no way he would turn it down. He has yet to win any silverware during his time in England, but if he took over at City, he would have the best squad he has ever been in charge of.

Manchester City Next Manager: Brendan Rodgers @ 9/2 Paddy Power

Brendan Rodgers continues to say he is happy at Leicester City and wants to see this job through to the end, but if Spurs came calling, would he turn it down? The former Liverpool manager was a huge success in Scotland during his time at Celtic – he won the Scottish Premiership twice, the Scottish Cup twice and the Scottish League Cup three times – whether he is the right man for the job at City after Guardiola is another matter. City fans would probably not be that impressed with Rodgers after Pep, they would want someone with more success in stronger leagues.

Manchester City Next Manager: Nuno Espirito Santo @ 5/1 Paddy Power

Nuno Espirito Santo would be a perfect fit for Manchester City in my opinion. He has transformed Wolverhampton Wanderers into an exciting side on the verge of qualifying for Europe for the second season running. He has to be given credit for turning Conor Coady into a quality defender, while he is also getting the best out of the likes of Diogo Jota, Ruben Neves and Raul Jimenez. Imagine the work he could do with the likes of Raheem Sterling, Kevin de Bruyne and Sergio Aguero.

Manchester City Next Manager: Julian Nagelsmann @ 10/1 Paddy Power

Julian Nagelsmann is probably the least known manager on this list, but it won’t be too long until he is a household name. RB Leipzig manager Nagelsmann is only 32 years of age and when he was 28, he was named manager of 1899 Hoffenheim and was the youngest manager in the history of the German Bundesliga. He took over at RB Leipzig in June 2019 and he has since become the youngest manager to win a UEFA Champions League knockout tie when his side defeated Tottenham Hotspur 4-0 on aggregate. He will end up being a top manager, but only time will tell if we ever see him in the Premier League.
