Premier League Predictions & Tips: United To Bring Seagulls Back Down To Earth?

Leigh Copson /

The 2019/20 Premier League campaign will be completed over the course of June and June, and will be picking out our favourite bets from the top flight of English football right here.

Premier League Predictions & Tips: Brighton & Hove Albion v Manchester United (Tuesday 20:15 BST)

Manchester United maintained their grip on fifth place in the Premier League a week ago and in the process put some breathing room between themselves and one of the sides looking to pip them to what could prove to be a Champions League qualifying berth. Anthony Martial was the star of the show as he rattled in a hat-trick to lead the Red Devils to a 3-0 victory over Sheffield United, but both Wolves and Tottenham Hotspur are still firmly in the mix for fifth place so the pressure will be on United to collect another three points when they head to Brighton & Hove Albion on Tuesday night.

The Seagulls are unbeaten since returning to action, taking four points from their first two games back. They came from behind to beat Arsenal as they resumed their season, before earning a share of the spoils thanks to a goalless stalemate up at Leicester City, and that means they are now six points clear of the relegation zone with seven games remaining. Survival is far from ensured, but Brighton have put their fate in their own hands and they will certainly take that. The question is can they help themselves with another positive result against Manchester United here?

United have been victorious in each of their last two meetings with the Seagulls, but both of those encounters were at Old Trafford. It has been a completely different story at the Amex Stadium though, with Brighton winning the last two meetings there. In fact, the home side winning has been the outcome of each of the last six games between Brighton and Manchester United, but I expect that to come to an end here. United looked sharp as they rolled over Sheffield United and they should follow that up with another win here to ensure that they are in the top five when the final whistle blows. To Win To Nil has been a winning bet on each of their last six victories and I believe that will be the case again as United claim the spoils on Tuesday night.
