La Liga Predictions & Tips: Real Madrid v Alaves (Friday 21:00 BST)

Real Madrid have a lot to build on despite seeing some very tough games lately, where Sergio Ramos’ penalty-kick winners made all the difference against Getafe (1-0) and at Athletic Bilbao (0-1) over the past seven days. We have been used to more convincing displays at home ground, though, and Los Blancos will surely want to show off. Alaves hardly feel like a great obstacle and they come into the match with a troubled run behind them. They’ve seen Celta Vigo (6-0), Osasuna (0-1), Atletico Madrid (2-1), Granada (0-2), and Real Valladolid (1-0) all snatch points since mid-June and we now feel we’re in for more of the same. We hope to see a one-sided contest that could see Alaves in the immediate danger zone with just three games to play. They felt far from consistent at the back when away from home and with that in mind, we’re backing Real Madrid to win with a comfortable winning margin!

La Liga Predictions & Tips: Atletico Madrid v Betis (Saturday 21:00 BST)

Atletico Madrid have been held to a somewhat disappointing 1-1 draw at Celta Vigo after taking the lead with just a minute on the clock, seeing a top 4 spot in danger as Villarreal close in. They host Betis looking to return to the winning ways once again and Diego Simeone will certainly want to do so on the back of a rock-solid defensive setup. They conceded just one goal in their last three outings at Wanda Metropolitano and promise a great challenge. Betis, on the other hand, bagged a comfortable 3-0 win over Osasuna on Wednesday and want to build on their mid-table spot. They have a lot to prove, though, as Alexis Trujillo’s men only ended a streak of three games without a win. Beticos were denied by Levante (4-2), Villarreal (0-2), and Celta Vigo (1-1) and we don’t see them doing more in Madrid. We will thus back Atleti to turn a narrow contest their way and secure the important points.

La Liga Predictions & Tips: Sevilla v Mallorca (Sunday 21:00 BST)

Sevilla have a busy week on their hands as they look to build on a two-match winning streak, hosting Mallorca for their Matchday 36 clash just days after their trip to Bilbao. They beat Leganes (0-3) and Eibar (1-0) and kept clean sheets on both occasions, securing a top 4 spot and certainly very motivated to build on it. Sevillistas conceded just one goal in four home outings since the coronavirus break and Julen Lopetegui has ground to build on. Mallorca sit in the relegation zone and will seemingly not be the same sort of a challenge. This week’s performances could make all the differences in their struggles to escape the red zone late in the campaign. However, we don’t feel they have what it takes to cause an upset at Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan and the struggles for goalscoring consistency could be on display once again. Vermilions found the net just once on four trips since mid-June and we don’t see them getting on the scoresheet now.

La Liga Predictions & Tips: Villarreal v Real Sociedad (Monday 18:30 BST)

Real Sociedad finally ended their losing streak but hardly impressed as they beat Espanyol (2-1) and held Levante to a 1-1 draw. They now have two tough games within days as they travel to Villarreal just days after hosting Granada and La Real will need to show more if they’re to challenge the top 6 after a troubled run since returning to La Liga. Villarreal have seen quite a contrasting spell of form and they jumped the rivals thanks to it, only seeing Barcelona (1-4) interrupt a seven-game unbeaten streak. Yellow Submarine beat Getafe in a four-goal thriller on Wednesday and have more time to rest, which has us getting behind them to secure the home points. They’ve seen their share of exciting games lately but can say they’ve been in a much better place than the visitors. Villarreal also bagged six points in the sides’ last two head-to-head clashes and we now hope to see more of the same!
