Both Teams To Score BTTS Predictions & Tips: Chelsea v Sevilla (Tuesday 20:00 BST)
Chelsea take on Europa League winners, Sevilla in this opening match of the Champions League group stages, with the home side facing a tough task against the Spanish side.Chelsea’s defensive struggles continued, with Southampton coming back to draw 3-3 with Frank Lampard’s side, while Sevilla suffered a surprising loss at Granada at the weekend, having started with an unbeaten three match run domestically.
Chelsea have only lost once so far (to Liverpool), but the latest result against Southampton has seen both sides score in three of the last four games. Sevilla have a more solid defensive unit it would seem, considering they have already limited Bayern and Barcelona to single goals in 90 minutes so far this season. Chelsea have been strong going forward so far and i’d expect them to score here, but Sevilla will provide a tough test for the Blues back line and a score draw looks to be on the cards here.
Both Teams To Score BTTS Predictions & Tip: PSG v Man United (Tuesday 20:00 BST)
Champions League runners-up, Paris St Germain take on Manchester United at the Parc des Princes, with the home visitors facing a tough ask in this Group H opener. After a brief hangover that saw the French champions lose their opening two Ligue 1 games, normal service has resumed with five straight victories, scoring ten goals in the last two games. Manchester United’s form has been up and down, but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side bounced back from the 1-6 defeat to Spurs, with a 4-1 win at Newcastle, although the scoreline arguably flattered them.
PSG have only conceded once in the five game winning streak, but the opposition quality, was not that strong in fairness. United have kept just one clean sheet in the last three games and this looks an unlikely prospect against Neymar, Mbappe and co. Man United of course picked up a famous win in 2019 on their last visit, but this looks an unlikely prospect this time, with PSG to win and both to score looking the most likely option.
Both Teams To Score BTTS Predictions & Tips: Bayern Munich v Atletico Madrid (Wednesday 20:00 BST)
Champions Bayern Munch, begin the defence of the title, with a home game against Atletico Madrid at the Allianz Arena, with Diego Simone’s side offering a stern test for Hansi Flick’s side. After a surprise loss to Hoffenheim, Bayern have won their last four matches, including the weekend’s 4-1 win at Arminia Bielefeld. Atletico are unbeaten in all four games this season, picking up a good 2-0 win at Celta Vigo, with trip to Balaidos, always a solid test.
Bayern have scored fourteen goals in their last four matches, but have conceded six in that time too, which is unusual for the German champions. The front pair of Luis Suarez and Diego Costa can cause more problems for that backline, however ball retention will be key and thats what should push this game in Bayern’s favour. Atleti have only conceded once this season, as expected from a Simeone side, but it looks a tall order to keep Robert Lewandowski and co. at bay here. Bayern to win and both sides to sore looks a solid option here.
Both Teams To Score BTTS Predictions & Tip: Ajax v Liverpool (Wednesday 20:00 BST)
2019 champions, Liverpool begin their European campaign, with a tough encounter, away to Ajax, at the Johan Cruyff Arena, with the big news of course, being th long term absence of Virgil Van Dijk for Jurgen Klopp’s side. Ajax have won four of their opening five league matches, with a loss, away to Groningen, their only defeat. The Reds are without a win in three, losing on penalties to Arsenal, before the heavy defeat at Aston Villa. They come in off the back of a 2-2 at Everton, which saw VAR chalk off a winning goal and of course their captain being take off.
The absence of Van Djyk, gives Ajax a big opportunity here, against an already shaky Liverpool defence, who look alot weaker with Adrian between the sticks too. Ajax have only conceded twice so far this season, but against the Reds attack, this will be the biggest test of the season so far. Expect a few goals, with both to score and a draw, the potential outcome.
Both Teams To Score BTTS Predictions & Tips: Man City v FC Porto (Wednesday 20:00 BST)
Manchester City take on Porto at the Etihad, as Pep Guardiola attempts to win the Champions League once again, after the disappointment of last season’s exit to Lyon. Porto face a tough task to get a result here, but also to qualify, with Olympiakos and Marseille in the group too. City are unbeaten in three games, since the loss to Leicester City, while Porto won their opening two matches, before losing to Maritmo and holding Sporting CP to a draw at the weekend.
On the last visit to the Etihad, back in 2012, Porto were beaten 4-0, while in 2019, they lost 6-1 on aggregate to Liverpool, so the Portuguese side have their work cut out here. City’s defence seems to be settling down as we get into the season, with the 1-0 win over Arsenal showing their mettle. Porto have conceded 5 goals in their last two matches and you have to feel that there will be more firefighting to do for the Dragoes, especially with Sergio Aguero back for City at the weekend. Man City to win to nil looks the most likely outcome, as Guardiola’s side ease to three points.
Both Teams To Score BTTS Predictions & Tips: Stuttgart v Koln (Friday 19:30 BST)
Stuttgart bagged seven points in their last three Bundesliga outings despite a rather tough schedule, beating Mainz (1-4) and most recently Hertha Berlin (0-2) on the road while holding Leverkusen to a 1-1 draw along the way. They now host Koln in a good mood and certainly hope to build on the positives, led by in-form Sasa Kalajdzic and Silla Wamangituka up front.
Koln haven’t really been able to get such pick-me-ups and travel to Mercedes-Benz-Arena with just one point to their name. They have been scoring goals on the regular and finally capitalized to some degree at least as they held off Eintracht Frankfurt (1-1) on Sunday. Billy Goats have troubles at the back, though, and we feel it could prove costly once again!
Both Teams To Score BTTS Predictions & Tips: Sassuolo v Torino (Friday 19:45 BST)
Torino have seen their woes continue as they returned from the International break last week, seeing their third loss in three games after being outgunned at home ground once again. Cagliari (2-3) snatched the points despite a brace from Andrea Belotti on Sunday and Il Toro could be sinking deeper on Friday.
Sassuolo enjoy a great moment and sit 2nd with ten points to their name. They beat Bologna (3-4) in a seven-goal thriller over the weekend, building on their goalscoring performances with four goals scored in each of their last three outings. Roberto De Zerbi’s men will be very motivated to capitalize on the rivals’ woes now and we do see them making it happen.
Both Teams To Score BTTS Predictions & Tips: Elche v Valencia (Friday 20:00 BST)
Elche have shown off as a very tough side to score against lately and they kept it up as they returned to La Liga on Sunday, beating Deportivo Alaves (0-2) with a keep clean sheet and goals from Pere Milla and Tete Morente. We now hope to see them tough defensively once again as they host Valencia, who have struggled to impress after a volatile summer.
Indeed, Los Che travel to Manuel Martinez Valero Stadium with two consecutive losses behind them, as Betis (0-2) snatched the points ahead and Villarreal (2-1) bagged a narrow win after the break. Javi Gracia’s men earned seven points in six games and although the top still feels within reach, he’ll have a lot to worry about with obvious struggles to retain consistency up front.
Both Teams To Score BTTS Predictions & Tips: Rennes v Angers (Friday 20:00 BST)
Rennes dropped the top spot in Ligue 1 after being held off by Reims (2-2) and Dijon (1-1) in their last two outings, seeing their defensive shortcomings prove costly to a degree. They still see just two points behind pace-setters Lille and picking it up quickly will be a goal for Julien Stephan’s men. Red and Blacks were in fine form up front and we do feel they’ll be in great shape on Friday.
Angers haven’t been as consistent and this became more emphasized on the road, conceding ten goals on trips to Montpellier (4-1) and PSG (6-1). They come into the match on the back of a 1-1 home draw against Metz and while we’ve seen them scoring on the regular, there’s a lot to worry about ahead of their trip to Roazhon Park as well.
Both Teams To Score BTTS Predictions & Tips: Atalanta v Sampdoria (Saturday 14:00 BST)
Atalanta have been furious early in the new campaign but saw a thrashing loss at Napoli (4-1) after the International break, which saw them taking on a Champions League trip to Midtjylland looking for a return to the winning ways. La Dea will be looking to keep up with the top of the table as they host Sampdoria on Saturday, which promises a strong challenge at Gewiss Stadium.
Whether Sampdoria are up to the task will be very interesting to see, after they put a slow start to the campaign behind them. They beat Fiorentina (1-2) and Lazio (3-0) in their last two outings, as Fabio Quagliarella led an in-form side. La Samp haven’t been impressive at the back, though, and this could be more worrying ahead of the trip to Bergamo.
Both Teams To Score BTTS Predictions & Tips: Barcelona v Real Madrid (Saturday 15:00 BST)
Barcelona were denied points by Sevilla (1-1) and Getafe (1-0) in their last two outings and they host Real Madrid in need of points to keep up with the top of the table early on. They sit four behind pace-setters Real Sociedad but have two games in hand, which will still hold an absolute must to regain confidence and consistency on Ronald Koeman.
Real Madrid have suffered in a home loss to Cadiz (0-1), conceding early on and failing to bounce. They bagged three wins beforehand, beating Betis (2-3), Valladolid (1-0), and Levante (0-2) despite some very narrow contests along the way. They will need more for an upset at Camp Nou but we feel we’re not in for many goals and even a single could untangle it.
