What is Virtual Football?
Virtual football allows punters to bet on a make-believe simulator of football matches between two teams. You can still bet on a wide range of markets like you would a normal game of football – the main difference is these games do not last 90 minutes.
How Does Virtual Football Work?
bet365 used to offer six different betting markets over three different competitions, but the market has increased over the years. Here is a brief description of the leagues you can bet on and watch live.
Premiership – This tournament is based on the Premier League with team names similar to the ones already used. For example, one match would see London Whites take on Liverpool Stars.
Super League – This is loosely based on the Champions League and Europa League. Islington Reds against St Petersburg is a massive clash.
World Cup – This does exactly what is says on the tin. A football competition with countries taking part rather than clubs.
Each game that is streamed lasts no longer than three minutes and the teams are fictional. No real-life data is included in the matches, meaning there are no player names involved at all.
How To Bet On Virtual Football
Before the start of each game there is a 90-second period that allows punters to place their bets and after the conclusion of the game, you can see the stats from the match with the odds of each winning bet.
Virtual football on bet365 ensures each game has its own defined parameters, which allows different odds for different matches. There can be no more than four goals scored in each game and every team is selected in terms of strength, but random upsets are known to occur.
All the kick-off times are staggered, so if virtual football is you new go to game, you can bet and watch a new game every minute across the three tournaments. That is a lot of football to enjoy in a very short space of time.
As I’ve already mentioned, during virtual football matches you can bet on a wide range of different betting markets. Here are the most popular:
Match Winner – This allows you to back the home team, the away team of the draw.
Number of Goals in the Game – Remember, there can be no more than four goals scored in each virtual football match. So, you are betting on 0,1,2,3 or 4.
Correct Score – In this section, you have 15 possible outcomes to bet on. Backing the home or away team to win 1-0, 2-0, 2-1, 3-0, 3-1 or 4-0. Or you can plump for the draw option with 0-0, 1-1 or 2-2.
Double Chance – This betting market allows you to back two possible outcomes in order for your bet to be a winner. Your options include, home team and a draw, away team and a draw and home or away team to win.
Total Goals – Unlike in real football where you can bet on over and under with a number of different figures, you option in virtual football is to bet on under or over 2.5 goals.
Handicap – This market has the teams handicapped by goals and your selection is added to the final score to see who wins. So, if you back London Whites +1 to beat Islington Reds, then you need to add one goal on to the final score and if the Whites win by one goal after the selection has been added, then you win.
Correct Score Group – This allows you to bet on a certain scoring group with a number of outcomes. You can back one team to win 1-0,2-0 or 2-1 at a certain price, or the same team to win 3-0,3-1 or 4-0 at a different price.
Result/Both Teams To Score – Again, this one is straight forward. You can back on a certain team to win with both teams scoring goals.
Winning Margin – This allows you to be more accurate with your betting selection. You can back a certain team to win the game by a certain amount, whether that is one goal, two goals or three or more goals.
Both Teams To Score – You can back on both teams to score without including the actual match winner.
Home Team To Score – Back the home team to get on the score sheet at any time during the three minutes.
Away Team To Score – Select the away team to score a goal during the match.
Team To Score First – This option allows you to gamble on which team will score the opening goal of the game.
Team To Score Last – You can back on which team scores the final goal of the game, this has no influence on the final score outcome so this bet is relevant until the final whistle.
