Danish Superliga Predictions & Tips: FC Copenhagen v Randers FC (Sunday 16:00 BST)
FC Copenhagen needed a late rally, but they were able to mark their return to action with a 4-1 victory at Lyngby last weekend. Having been pegged back to 1-1 with less than 20 minutes to go, Stale Solbakken’s side rattled in three goals to pull away from their hosts and they will be hoping to avoid similar late dramatics when they entertain Randers this weekend. While Copenhagen were getting off to a winning restart, Randers fell to a 1-0 defeat at home to Hobro that all but ended their chances of moving into the top six before the Danish top flight splits in half, and that loss means they have now won just one of their last six games. That is not the sort of form you want to be in when preparing to visit Copenhagen. As a result you have to like the chances of seeing a home win for Copenhagen this weekend, but Randers may well help themselves to a goal here. They are hardly free-scoring, but they do have a decent record for scoring away to top-six sides this season and the hosts have struggled for clean sheets for much of 2020 so far.
Danish Superliga Predictions & Tips: FC Nordsjaelland v Midtjylland (Sunday 16:00 BST)
Midtjylland remain top of the table in Denmark, but they will be very disappointing with how they performed in their return to action last Monday. They fell to a shock 1-0 defeat at home to bottom-half Horsens and boss Brian Priske will be challenging his side to issue an immediate response to that loss as they prepare for the run-in. Will he get it? Hosts Nordsjaelland had no such issues as they enjoyed a successful first outing since the season resumed. A couple of first-half goals lifted them to a win away to rock-bottom Silkeborg and they have now gone six games unbeaten in the league, winning five times. That is the sort of shape you need to be in when preparing to take on the league leaders, but I do not expect them to extend that good run with a win or a draw here. Yes, Midtjylland’s return was a disappointing one, but they have been the cream of the crop in Denmark this season and have already beaten Nordsjaelland once. They will complete the double on Sunday afternoon.
