Abandoned Football Match Betting Rules

For UK competitions and matches televised in the UK

If the match is confirmed to take place within 48 hours of the original kick-off time, all bets on the match will stand, unless:

  1. If confirmation of the rescheduled start time is not received within 3 hours of the original kick-off time, bets will be void.
  2. If kick-off time suffers from consecutive delays which take it over the 3 hour period mentioned above, bets will still stand as long as the eventual reschedule is within 48 hours of the original kick-off time.
  3. If the match does not take place within 48 hours of the original kick-off time bets will be void.
  4. If the selection is in a multiple bet or accumulator any refund must be requested before kick-off of the first leg of the multiple bet.
  5. Where a confirmed postponed match features as part of a multiple bet, the bet will stand on the remaining selections in the multiple.
  6. Please note that games which have their kick-off altered well in advance to accommodate live TV, or to ease fixture congestion will not be classed as postponed.

All other matches

  1. If the match does not take place before midnight (local time) on the same day, bets will be void.
  2. Where a postponed match features as part of a multiple bet, the bet will stand on the remaining selections in the multiple.
  3. Please note that games which have their kick-off altered well in advance to accommodate live TV, or to ease fixture congestion will not be classed as postponed.

Abandoned Matches

  1. If a match is abandoned, any bets where the outcome has already been decided e.g. half-time result or first team to score will stand.
  2. All other bets will be made void regardless of the score-line at the time of abandonment. Abandoned games will be deemed to be games which do not reach their natural conclusion on the calendar date.
  3. Games where a referee removes the players from the field of play for a temporary period, but resumes the remaining minutes of play on the same calendar date will not be deemed as abandoned.

What happens to accumulators?

  1. If you backed a postponed match in a single bet, the bet is void and the stake will be refunded.
  2. If you backed a postponed match in a double bet, the bet will revert to a single on the remaining selection. If both selections are postponed, the bet is void and stake will be refunded.
  3. If you backed a postponed match in a treble bet, the bet will revert to a double on the remaining 2 selections. If 2 out of 3 selections are postponed, the bet reverts to a single. If all selections are postponed, the bet is void and stake will be refunded.
  4. If you backed a postponed match in an accumulator, the same applies as above. The bet will stand on remaining selections unless all matches are abandoned when the bet becomes void.
