A bunch of celebrities will head to the Australian jungle later this year for the 2020 instalment of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here, but who will leave the camp as Jungle royalty and become the next King or Queen of the Jungle?
I’m A Celebrity Predictions & Tips: Which Celebrities Are Taking Part?
I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here is not set to return to television screens until the winter so we are a long way off knowing who will be heading to the Australian jungle for I’m A Celebrity 2020. But of course, as is the case every year, that does not prevent there being months and months of speculation about who will sign on to face Bushtucker Trials, eat bugs and take on other challenges.
Sports stars heading into the Jungle is certainly nothing new and the bookmakers are currently offering odds on a whole host of current and former sportsmen and women heading Down Under. Ex-world champion boxer Ricky Hatton is the leading contender in the minds of the bookmakers, with ex-football Paul Merson also a serious favourite with them, and there has been plenty of speculation around snooker icon Ronnie O’Sullivan signing up for the ITV show.
The appearance of a soap star is almost a given and Alan Halsall is fancied to switch the cobbles of Coronation Street for a sleeping bag and a campfire this year, while the possibility of a reality TV star ‘defecting’ to I’m A Celebrity is strong with ex-Love Island star Wes Nelson and former Strictly Come Dancing professional AJ Pritchard though to be in the running to appear on the show.
And what about Jeremy Kyle… he does not have much to do now that is daily TV show has been axed! After years of dishing out lie detector tests, maybe the British public could be the ones putting Kyle to the test by forcing him to do some stomach-churning test.
I’m A Celebrity Predictions & Tips: When Is I’m A Celebrity 2020?
The start and end dates for I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here is yet to be confirmed, but the show has been airing since 2002 and they give us an idea of when the 2020 series will begin and when it will end.
I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here 2020 is expected to start sometime in mid-November and conclude during the first half of December when a King or Queen of the Jungle will be determined by the British public.
I’m A Celebrity Predictions & Tips: Who Will Win I’m A Celebrity?
Without an official I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here line-up it is tricky to make a prediction, but if Ricky Hatton does enter the show then he will deserve his current tag of ‘bookmaker favourite’. After all, this is a man who was followed across the Atlanta by thousands upon thousands of boxing fans back in the day and his fights attracted more than just fans of the sport, the British public as a whole got behind ‘The Hitman’. If he takes on this challenge then he can probably expect big backing.
However, those 1/4 odds are not remotely tempting so my early selection is Coronation Street actor Alan Halsall. Halsall first appeared on Corrie back in 1998 and over the past 20-plus years his character, Tyrone Dobbs, has gone on to be very popular with viewers. He has built up a sizeable fanbase so if he heads to the Jungle, and does not turn out to be a bit of a prick, then you have to like the chances of the Coronation Street star becoming the show’s first I’m A Celebrity winner!
I’m A Celebrity Predictions & Tips: How Can I Bet On I’m A Celebrity?
Betting on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here has never been easier or more popular. It remains one of the most popular shows on British television and the format of the show lends itself well to betting, with the bookmakers offering a bunch of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here betting markets throughout the year.
I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here Outright Winner betting market opens long before the line-up is announced and the show begins to air, and that is largely down to the fact there will be months and months’ worth of speculation as the fans, bookmakers and media discuss who could be lured into the Australian jungle.
The list will be a large one up until the official line-up is confirmed, and once the show is underway you can expect those odds to fluctuate as each episode unfolds. Could someone turn the public off them and send their odds spiralling? Could one of the least popular bookmaker options turn out to be the life and soul of the camp to capture the imagination of the voters? Anything can happen when the show starts to air, so it will be worth keeping a close eye on the market.
The bookmakers will also offer a selection of markets. You can usually bet on the sex of the winning celebrity, while there will also be opportunities to bet on who will be the next celebrity to be voted out of the I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here jungle.
