World Champion Michael Smith is in the form of his life, and I cannot see that ending any time soon.
Smith, who ended his major title drought at the Grand Slam, has won the World Championship and the Bahrain Masters since and he looks unbeatable.
Smith is a fans favourite on the PDC circuit, and no-one begrudges his success. He looks to have controlled his nerves in the big matches and he looks like he is going from strength to strength.
He will go up against Darius Labanauskas in the first round and he should make light work of his opponent before advancing to the quarter-finals.
Dimitri van den Bergh is the defending champion and I expect him to have a good tournament, but Smith will end up being the victor.
The World Series of Darts circuit will also visit America, Australia and New Zealand during 2023, before the season-ending World Series of Darts Finals in the Netherlands.
