New Zealand v West Indies 2nd T20 Predictions & Tips: New Zealand Top Runs Scorer

The DLS method came to New Zealand’s rescue in their rain-affected first T20 clash against West Indies in Auckland. The weather had already ensured the game would be shorter than normal as West Indies batted first and made 180-7 with skipper Kieron Pollard top scoring with an unbeaten 75 as he blasted eight sixes. The poor weather continued to disrupt proceedings, and that meant that New Zealand were given a revised total of 176 to win. They managed to secure the win for the loss of five wickets as an unbeaten 48 from James Neesham saw them home. Hopefully, the weather will be better on Sunday, and we will see some top-quality batting at the top of the order. Devon Conway came in at number three and hit 41 from 29 balls, so I am backing the 29-year-old to top score for the hosts in Game 2.

New Zealand v West Indies 2nd T20 Predictions & Tips: New Zealand Top Wicket Taker

New Zealand had Lockie Ferguson to thank for their DLS method win over West Indies in their opening T20 encounter. West Indies batted first and looked quite comfortable at 58 without loss, before crumbling to 59-5 with Ferguson striking three times. The 29-year-old took a further two more wickets to end up with figures of5-21 off four overs, while Tim Southee claimed the other two. Ferguson became only the second New Zealand player to claim a five-wicket haul in a T20 – the other was Southee – so I am backing Ferguson to once again take the most wickets.
