New Zealand v Pakistan 2nd Test Betting Tips & Predictions: New Zealand Top Runs Scorer 1st Innings
New Zealand cruised to victory in the first Test in Mount Maunganui as they won by a staggering 101 runs. The hosts batted first and posted 431 runs with captain Kane Williamson once again showing he is one of the best batsmen in the world. He hit 12 fours and one six in his first innings, before making just 21 in the second. That didn’t really matter as they were already far in front. I love the way Williamson takes on the bowlers, he is a joy to watch and I am backing him to once again top score for New Zealand in their first innings.
New Zealand v Pakistan 2nd Test Betting Tips & Predictions: Pakistan Top Runs Scorer 1st Innings
I predicted before the first Test that Pakistan would struggle without captain Babar Azam and that proved to be the case. The tourists failed to get past 300 in either innings with Faheem Ashraf and Mohammad Rizwan the only ones showing any fight in the first innings with 91 and 71 respectively. Int heir second innings, Rizwan again tried to lead from the front as captain and posted 60, while Fawad Alam managed to hit 102 runs but it was nowhere near enough. Pakistan will be hoping their top order performs a lot better in Christchurch, and I am counting on Azhar Ali to come in at three and top score for Pakistan.
New Zealand v Pakistan 2nd Test Betting Tips & Predictions: Match Winner
New Zealand took the game to Pakistan right from the off in the first Test and they will be full of confidence that they do that again. Winning the toss is crucial, whoever wins the toss will more than likely bat first and that will be crucial in the overall outcome of the game. I expect the hosts to bat first and attempt to bat the tourists out of the game like they did in the first Test, with the likes of Williamson, Ross Taylor, Henry Nicholls and BJ Watling scoring at a frequent rate. I expect New Zealand to win this one quite comfortably again.
