England v Ireland 3rd ODI Predictions & Tips: Ireland’s Top Batsman

Curtis Campher has been one of the shining lights in this Ireland team. The South African born former Proteas Under 19 star is eligible to play for Ireland because he owns a passport as his Grandmother was Irish. He made his debut for Ireland in the first ODI of this series and top scored for his country with an unbeaten 59 in a losing effort. He continued to impress in the second game as he notched his second successive half century, smashing eight fours on his way to 68 before being dismissed by Saqib Mahmood. Campher is definitely a talent and we believe he will be Ireland’s top score for the third consecutive game.

England v Ireland 3rd ODI Predictions & Tips: England’s Top Bowler

Quick bowlers David Willey and Saqib Mahmood both took two wickets apiece in the four-wicket victory over Ireland in Southampton on Saturday. They will both continue to take wickets, if selected, but we are backing spinner Adil Rashid to be the leading wicket taker for Eoin Morgan’s men. Rashid delivered figures of 3-34 off 10 overs, we expect him to take full advantage of a deteriorating pitch and see plenty of turn that will be too good for the Irish middle order.

England v Ireland 3rd ODI Predictions & Tips: First Ball Of Match

Normally for the first delivery of the game, you would expect it to be a dot ball. But this is a ODI and every run is vital. There is no time to be conservative, you need to get runs on the board and quickly. Ireland have batted first on both occasions in this series, so don’t be surprised if they elect to bowl if they win the toss. If that happens, England will eager to pile on the runs and the likes of Jonny Bairstow and Jason Roy will not wait around. It doesn’t really matter who bats first in this one, we are backing the first ball of the day to go for a single run.
