India’s final game of their tour of Australia gets underway on January 15 in the fourth Test in Brisbane, the winner of this Test will walk away with the Border-Gavaskar Trophy?
Australia v India 4th Test Betting Tips & Predictions: Match Winner
India showed a lot of grit and determination to ensure their third Test against Australia in Sydney ended in a draw, meaning they still have a chance of winning the Test series and taking the Border-Gavaskar Trophy back home. The tourists have been rocked with the news that both Ravindra Jadeja and Jasprit Bumrah will both be unavailable for the game. All-rounder Jadeja has a dislocated thumb, while pace bowler Bumrah has an abdominal strain, and he will not be risked. Both players missing is a massive blow for India and with KL Rahul returning home, I cannot see them getting the victory in this one. Their best hope would be dig in once again and play for a draw, but Australia has a point to prove after failing to force a win in the third Test. The likes of Tim Paine and Steve Smith will be looking to redeem themselves after letting themselves down in Sydney. I am backing Australia to win the fourth Test and claim the trophy.
Australia v India 4th Test Betting Tips & Predictions: Australia 1st Innings Top Runs Scorer
Steve Smith’s first century of the Test series and Will Pucovski debut half century should have been the major talking points of the third Test draw, but unfortunately it wasn’t. Smith’s behaviour during India’s second innings, where he appeared to clear away some batting markings, was heavily criticised, while captain Paine was heard insulting Ravichandran Ashwin on numerous occasions. For the fourth and final Test, I am expecting both Smith and Pucovski to be in the runs, but Marcus Labuschange will be the one to watch. He hit 91 and 73 in the third Test, and I am backing him to top score for the hosts and to his total of 293 runs ion the series so far.
Australia v India 4th Test Betting Tips & Predictions: Australia 1st Innings Top Wicket Taker
Australia’s inability to bowl out India twice in their last two Tests has seen them come under intense scrutiny. Their pace bowlers will have a massive point to prove and show everyone that they are capable of closing a game out. Pat Cummins leads the way with the most wickets, he has taken 15 wickets so far – including five in the last Test. I am backing the 27-year-old to rip in and cause the Indian batsmen a whole host of problems. If he keeps his composure, he will be key in bowling the tourists out twice. I expect him to take the most wickets for Australia in their first innings, and set them on their way to a series win.
