Australia will be looking for a huge boost ahead of The Ashes series in England when they take on India in the World Test Championship.

Australia and India will lock horns in a five-day Test match at The Oval to be crowned the best Test nation in the world.
This will be the second Test championship since its inception in 2019. New Zealand won the first title in 2021 when they defeated India by eight wickets at the Rose Bowl in Southampton.
In the league format, Australia finished top of the ladder with 152 points thanks to 11 victories from 19 matches.
India finished second with 127 points. They won 10 of their 18 matches with five defeats and three draws.
Australia are firm favourites to win this Test as they look to head into The Ashes in top form. India have been rocked by a number of injuries and have not had a warm-up game heading into this Test.
Australia will almost be a full-strength for this Test Championship. Although Josh Hazlewood will sit this one out with Achilles and side injuries – he is fully expected to be fit for The Ashes.
