UFC Fight Night Sydney predictions for Saturday, November 18. Will Fabricio Werdum record back-to-back wins for the first time since 2015 or can Marcin Tybura record consecutive wins over former heavyweight champions? Read on for all of our free predictions and betting tips for UFC Fight Night.

Fabricio Werdum v Marcin Tybura

Fabricio Werdum’s quest to regain the UFC heavyweight title was dealt a setback when the Brazilian suffered a Majority Decision defeat to Alistair Overeem back in July, but he bounced back to submit Walt Harris in just 65 seconds in October and he now has an opportunity to win a second fight in 2017 after replacing Mark Hunt in the main event of this Fight Night card in Sydney.

Looking to deny Werdum back-to-back wins for the first time in over two years is Marcin Tybura, who has responded to a debut defeat at the hands of Timothy Johnson by reeling off three straight victories inside the Octagon. The Polish fighter recorded the most impressive victory of his career last time out as he beat former heavyweight champion Andrei Arlovski in June, but I do not expect him to topple another champion here.

Tybura has the edge in terms of weight and reach, but that is not going to matter much when he is flat on his back on the mat because Werdum has a clear advantage in that area. Once the fight ends up on the ground it is only a matter of time before Werdum – who has 11 submission wins on his record – forces his opponent to tap out.

Bec Rawlings v Jessica-Rose Clark

Bec Rawlings is in desperate need of a victory on home soil on Saturday. The Australian has gone 2-3 since arriving in the UFC in late 2014 and goes into this bout on the back of defeats to Paige VanZant and Tecia Torres, so a third straight defeat could leave her on shaky ground when it comes to keeping her job with the company.

So can she snap her losing run against UFC newcomer Jessica-Rose Clark? I believe she will. Rawlings is not in great form right now, but neither is Clark having gone 2-3 with one No Contest in her last five fights.

Clark did record the biggest win of her career last time out, beating Carina Damm in Titan FC, but her first trip to the Octagon should result in a few jitters that the experienced Rawlings can capitalise on to return to winning ways. Clark has never been stopped though, so this is likely to go the full 15 minutes.

Elias Theodorou v Daniel Kelly

Daniel Kelly made a bit of a name for himself when he upset former light-heavyweight champion Rashad Evans back in March, but his 15 minutes of fame was ended by a knockout defeat at the hands of Derek Brunson a couple of months later and Elias Theodorou can send him back to relative obscurity here.

Kelly does not instigate much in the way of offence and Theodorou’s conservative approach will not give his opponent the chance to counter, so this is likely to be an uneventful 15 minutes that results in the Canadian – who does not have much in the way of stopping power – getting the nod from the judges after three full rounds.
