Roger Federer Wimbledon 2018 odds: Roger Federer 11/4 to retain Wimbledon title in 2018

Neil Roarty 16 Jul 2017
Switzerlands Roger Federer holds aloft the winners trophy after beating Croatias Marin Cilic in their mens singles final match, during the presentation on the last day of the 2017 Wimbledon Championships at The All England Lawn Tennis Club in Wimbledon, southwest London, on July 16, 2017.Roger Federer won 6-3, 6-1, 6-4.

bet365 have released Wimbledon 2018 odds and make Roger Federer the 11/4 favourite to defend his title at the All England Club next year.

This time last year Roger Federer was a 16/1 shot to win Wimbledon but the 35-year-old rolled back the years during the course of 2017 and ended up going off as the favourite for the title at the All England Club. Federer justified that position by winning his eighth Wimbledon title and the bookies are taking no chances that he follows up with a ninth title in 2018.

It is just 11/4 at bet365 that the Swiss defends his title next year at SW19 and there are few that will be betting against him doing so. Federer has won both Grand Slams and both Masters 1000 events that he has entered in 2017 and he shows no sign of slowing down, despite his advancing years.

Marin Cilic, the beaten finalist at Wimbledon 2017, is 16/1 to return to the All England Club and go one better next year while Andy Murray is a 5/1 shot to bounce back from his quarter-final disappointment by reclaiming the title he won in both 2013 and 2016.

Wimbledon 2018 Odds

Federer's win meant it is now 15 successive years of 'Big Four' dominance at Wimbledon with either the Swiss, Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic or Andy Murray having claimed the title every year since 2003. bet365 are offering odds of 4/7 that one of that quartet win the title again in 2018, or 5/4 that there is a new name on the trophy.
