Ding Junhui to lead after four frames @ 3/4 with Ladbrokes

Ding is yet to get his hands on this trophy and will be aiming to take a step closer to doing so by ending the hopes of Li Hang - the lowest ranked player left in the competition.

Ding has already seen off two fellow countrymen in Zhang Anda and Xiao Guodong, as well as thrashing Joe Perry in sealing his passage to the Last Eight.

Hang has kicked off from his ground-breaking run to the Semi-Finals of last month's China Championship with three notable scalps this week, seeing off Liang Wenbo, Ricky Walden and Peter Ebdon, but this could prove a bridge too far for the world number 57.

Expect Ding to settle quickly into the contest and establish a lead of either 3-1 or 4-0 heading in to the mid-session interval.

Mark Williams v Kyren Wilson - Over 7.5 total frames @ 5/6 with Paddy Power

World number 13 and 16 lock horns as Kyren Wilson meets Mark Williams in another mouth-watering show-down.

Williams has dropped just one frame in his three wins en route to the Quarter-Finals, whitewashing Matthew Stevens and Chen Zhe before powering past Joe Perry 5-1.

Wilson, meanwhile, has gone about his business quietly but effectively so far, dispatching Michael Holt and Thepchaiya Un-Nooh to remain in firm pursuit of a second career ranking title.

The only previous meeting in ranking competition between these two players ended in a narrow 5-4 win for Wilson in the Quarter-Finals of the 2016 Northern Ireland Open, and on current form, expect a similarly close-run battle on Chinese soil.

Anthony McGill to win @ 10/11 with Coral

McGill followed up a hard-fought 5-4 win over Stephen Maguire with a contrastingly straightforward whitewash of Lee Walker and is now on the verge of his third consecutive televised Semi-Final.

The unflappable Scot's next test comes in the shape of Belgium's Luca Brecel - who picked up the China Championship title in August and has edged out Daniel Wells and Cao Yupeng in last-frame deciders en route to this stage.

Brecel has not been at his brilliant best so far in this competition and will need to tighten his safety game against the astute Glaswegian - who is consistently producing his best form in major events.

Expect another nip and tuck contest here, but the value looks to be with McGill to make his way into the Semi-Finals given his polished all-round game at present.

How to bet on the World Open

Betting on the World Open could not be simpler, with a range of pre-match, outright and in-play markets at your fingertips via the majority of leading sports bookmakers.

To place a bet on the World Open, simply go to the home page of your chosen bookmaker on either the desktop site or mobile app and head to the A-Z sports menu.

From there, select Snooker > World Open and locate the match or market you wish place a bet on. Outrights, match coupons for accumulators and in-play markets are then listed on the interface. Compile your bet by clicking on the odds which will then add it to your betslip.

On the bet slip, you can then key in your stake and the type of bet you wish to place, for example, single, double, accumulator. Once your bet has been placed, keep an eye out for the cash-out option while your bets are still open, which is offered by most of the leading firms.

Markets offered on the World Open

Typically, the top bookmakers for snooker in general including Bet365Betfred and Coral are also the go-to firms for placing bets on the World Open.

Main markets include match result - simply betting on which player will win the tie and frame handicaps - whereby a virtual advantage or disadvantage to either player is awarded in order to even the field, for example a +2.5 frames handicap bet would be for Player A or B to win the match if 2.5 frames were to be added to their final tally.

A two-way market for the total number of frames is a sensible bet if the contest appears too close to call on paper and is not reliant on either player to win. For example backing over 5.5 frames in a best of seven match is covering the total number of frames amounting to either six or seven.

Punters can also bet on the number of centuries breaks in any given match, including a total number for either player or Player A or B to compile the most 100+ breaks. Significant odds of around 25/1 are often available for one player to produce snooker's holy grail - a maximum 147 break.

Other notable snooker betting markets include correct score for those with a precise prediction, as well as whether or not the match will go to a deciding frame.
