World ranking event action resumes this week as snooker's elite descend on Yushan for the 2016 World Open, and you can also tune in to live coverage on desktop or mobile.

The third major ranking tournament of the season sees 64 of the world's top stars battling it out over seven days of action for £520,000 in prize money.

The event returns to the calendar for the first time since 2014, with Shaun Murphy the defending champion following his 10-6 victory over Mark Selby in Haikou.

The majority of the field progressed through one qualifying match in Preston last month to seal a place in the main event, while a select number of ties have been heldover to be contested at the venue.

Among the key title contenders include reigning World Champion, UK Champion Neil Robertson, Judd Trump, John Higgins and Stuart Bingham.

Other in-form qualifiers out to do damage include Belgium's Luca Brecel, World Championship semi-finalist Alan McManus, Kyren Wilson, Marco Fu and Mark Williams. 

The tournament runs from July 25 to 31 at the Yushan No.1 Middle School in Yushan, China.
