Forty-eight came, now just two remain in pursuit of the 2,500,000 baht top prize in Bangkok as they bid to become the latest new name on the invitational trophy.

Un-Nooh has already made history by becoming the first Thai player to reach a televised final since James Wattana back in 1995 and aims to emulate the former world number three by landing a title on home spoil.

The 30-year-old has made great strides on the main tour in 2015, breaking into the world's top 50, and now stands on the cusp of what could be a career-defining triumph.

Having progressed through Group G before going on to defeat World Champion Stuart Bingham and Grand Prix winner Judd Trump on Thursday, Un-Nooh then saw off fellow countrymen Boonyarit Kiattikul and Noppon Saengkham to seal his spot in the final.

Wenbo, meanwhile, is appearing in his first televised final since the 2009 Shanghai Masters and has seemingly recaptured the consistency which he has been lacking in recent years.

The world number 21, a semi-finalist in last year's German Masters, won four of his five round-robin fixtures in Group A, before overcoming the likes of Yan Bingtao, world number one Mark Selby and Matthew Selt in the knock-out phase.

China's number two cueist had previously never been beyond the first hurdle of this event but is now bidding to become the first player outside of the UK to win this title since 2008.

This will be the first meeting between the pair in a competitive event and promises to be a fascinating, close-run battle with both desperate to get their hands on silverware prior to next week's Shanghai Masters.

The final gets underway at 7.30am BST and will be contested over the best of 15 frames from the Fashion Island Shopping Mall in Bangkok, Thailand.
