Warrington Wolves v St Helens - Super League Betting Tips & Live Preview

Warrington Wolves are the odds-on favourites to bounce back to winning ways when they host St Helens in Super League tonight.

Bet on the Super League at Bet365. Watch Warrington versus St Helens live on Sky Sports on Friday

The Wolves suffered their first defeat of the season last Sunday as they went down 26-12 at Hull KR, to drop to fourth place on the Super League ladder.

Saints, however, are down in seventh place with only two wins from five and they come into this game on the back of a defeat on home soil against champions Leeds Rhinos.

Warrington are 2/7 with Bet365 to win this game on home soil, while the Saints are on offer at 11/4. The draw can be backed at 22/1.

Wolves centre Chris Bridge is available for selection for the first time in 2013 having recovered from knee surgery, but coach Tony Smith has not yet decided if he will feature tonight.

Brothers Michael and Joel Monaghan have both been recalled by Smith having missed the defeat in Humberside, although Trent Waterhouse is still out through injury.

St Helens have been rocked this week with the news that Gary Wheeler is out for at least four months having ruptured his hamstring last weekend.

Captain Paul Wellens is also missing again with a calf problem, although Lance Hohaia and Mark Flanagan are both expected to feature following shoulder and concussion problems respectively.

Saints have been handed  a 10 point head start on the handicap betting market at a price of 10/11 with BetFred, while the Wolves -8 are the same price at Sportingbet.

Joel Monaghan has a fantastic record of scoring the first try of the game and it could be worth backing him tonight at 8/1 with Paddy Power, while Chris Riley is on offer at 10/1 with BetVictor.

For St Helens, Francis Meli can be backed at 12/1 with Boylesports to score the opening try, while youngster Mark Percival is 18/1 with Blue Square - If this kid gets away not many in Super League will catch him.
