Chiefs v Cheetahs Super Rugby Betting Tips & Live Preview

The Chiefs are odds-on favourites to remain unbeaten this weekend when they take on winless Cheetahs in the Super Rugby on Saturday.

Bet on Super Rugby at Bet365. Chiefs v Cheetahs will be shown live on Sky Sports

The Chiefs are currently fourth on the overall standings following their 41-27 victory over the Highlanders in their opening contest last weekend.

The Cheetahs, however, failed to win their only game of the season when they went down 29-22 on home soil against the Sharks.

The Chiefs can be backed at 1/12 odds-on with Bet365 to win, while the Cheetahs are on offer at 7/1 with the draw available as a 33/1 shot.

The home side have made a number of changes to their team in their bid to remain on the tails of the leaders.

Hika Elliot returns at hooker after recovering from a calf problem, while Michael Fitzgerald, Augustine Pulu and Lelia Masaga are also back in the starting line-up.

Last weekend’s debutant Rhys Marshall will drop to the bench to sit alongside Craig Clarke, Tawera Kerr-Barlow and Patrick Osborne.

The Cheetahs have made just the one change to their starting line-up with new boy Sarel Pretorius getting his first start.

Pretorius will start the game at scrum-half meaning Piet van Zyl drops to the bench, Landman Ligtoring and Rian Smit have both been brought in to sit on the pine.

The handicap betting market sees the Cheetahs given a massive 17 point head start at a price of 10/11 with Blue Square, while Chiefs -16 is an even money chance with Stan James.

If the first try in the Chiefs versus Cheetahs clash is scored by a forward, then online bookmaker Paddy Power will refund all losing try scorer bets on the match.
