The Brumbies currently top the overall standings with 13 points thanks to two wins from two and come into this clash on the back of a 30-12 win over Melbourne Rebels a fortnight ago as they had a bye last time out.

The Waratahs are down in eighth place on the league ladder with one win and one defeat from their two matches. Their win was against the Rebels last weekend.

Bet365 have the Brumbies available at 4/9 to make it three wins this season, while the Waratahs are on offer at 9/5 with the draw being backed at 20/1.

Veteran Test flanker George Smith is in line for his first appearance for Brumbies since 2010 having signed a short-term contract until May. He will start from the bench but is expected to get some game time.

David Pocock is back in the starting line-up as is Henry Speight and they are the only two changes from their last outing.

Waratahs are without Berrick Barnes and Bernard Foley and Wycliff Palu is absent which means Mitchell Chapman will move to blindside flanker with Dave Dennis taking over at number eight.

The Waratahs have been handed a five point head start on the handicap betting market at evens with Sportingbet, while Brumbies -6 is 10/11 with BetFred.
