The Tingle Creek Chase remains one of the most exciting races on the National Hunt calendar and the meeting is a festive jump racing tradition.
Tingle Creek Chase Day is Sandown’s finest race meeting and the feature contest has a jaw-dropping roll of honour which features some of the finest horses in the sport’s history.
The race is named after one of the most famous stars of the 1970s and the mighty Tingle Creek saved some of his finest performances for Sandown’s grand stage.
In recent years, the likes of Desert Orchid, Moscow Flyer, Kauto Star and Sprinter Sacre have all landed the showpiece and we look sure to be treated to another fascinating contest on Saturday 7th December.
As well as the Grade One Tingle Creek, there is also the Henry VIII Novices Steeple Chase for punters to sink their teeth into on an enthralling afternoon at Sandown.
In the latest betting for the famous race Betfred report further support this morning for Tingle Creek plunge horse Vukovar, forcing his price down to 10/1 (from 14/1).
Having been a 25/1 outsider yesterday morning, Harry Fry’s charge is now joint fourth choice of punters alongside the likes of Balleycasey, who has similarly been cut to 10/1 (from 14/1) by Betfred.
Betfred spokesman Andrew Griffiths explained: “It’s developing into a significant plunge on the Fry horse. It seems only a matter of time before his price dips into single figures.”
