Paddy Power suffered a knockout blow at Punchestown on Thursday when an online customer hit the Irish bookmaker for an €80, 344 payday.

The punter’s Bank Holiday kicked off early when they placed a €2 each-way lucky 15 on four horses running on day three of the Kildare racing festival.

The Paddy Power customer, who is based in Louth, got the party started by backing Polished Steel in the 15.40 and moved closer to a successful bet as Snugsborough Hall took the next and Ballybroker Bridge then followed up by ripping his rivals apart in the 16.50.

However, it was Unowhatimeanharry’s impressive return to form in the feature race of the day that clinched the eye-watering total for the racing fan.

“We’re delighted for this customer,” a Paddy Power spokesperson told Bettingpro.com.

“But between this and [jockey] Ruby’s [Walsh] shock retirement, we’re not sure we can take anymore.”
