Nobody has won the race more times than O’Brien and, with the likes of Derby winner Anthony Van Dyck, Broome and Norway all set to run, he’s 6/5 to fill the first two places.

Madhmoon could be the spanner in the works for Ballydoyle and Betway offers 7/4 for O’Brien not to saddle the winner.

Betway’s Alan Alger said: “The number of class horses that Aidan O’Brien has at his disposal is phenomenal and he looks to have a vice like grip on this Saturday’s Irish Derby once again.

“Anthony Van Dyck has to be the stable’s leading contender after his Derby win, though Broome and Norway provide further strength to his chances and he’s just 4/9 to win the race for a 13th time.”
