Our Tips

Tip 1 - Australia to beat England in the 5th Ashes Test

5th Test Winner - Australia @ 1.954 with MustardBet

Australia ensured that they would be leaving England this month with the Ashes urn still in their care after a consummate display at Old Trafford in the fourth Test. Despite having the Aussies teetering at 28/2 with both openers back in the hutch, the home side let their advantage slip as the Aussies rebuilt, with Steve Smith doing his best impression of a workforce of 1000 as he notched a masterful score of 211, breaking the back of English resistance early-on. Then, in reply, England did not ever really look like getting close to their target as they were bowled out for just 301, avoiding the follow-on by a whisker. In reply, Smith was once again the bane of England as he scored 82, only getting out 'cheaply' due to the fact he was playing unselfishly. In reply, England were 0/2 and despite a rebuilding process of their own, were eventually bowled out for 197 as they relinquished any hopes of regaining the Ashes.
That loss was one that they entirely deserved as they failed to ever really get close to the Aussies, with their own batting lineup failing to consistently fire, while they have found Smith an immoveable presence at the crease, with the star seemingly only departing when he feels it is fit for him to do so.
The final Test gives England a chance to ensure the Aussies do not go home with the urn AND a series win but we feel they will once again come unstuck against Smith and if the Aussie bowlers continue to restrict England to scores of around 300 and below, then they will struggle, with Smith usually scoring enough on his own to make a fair game of it. With this in mind, and if Smith is to notch yet another century (which would potentially be his fourth and fifth in seven innings in this series), we think the Ashes, and the winners medals, will go home with the Aussies.
