Theresa May faces long odds of Brexit vote passing

Bookmaker Betway does not give Theresa May much of a chance of having her Brexit deal approved by parliament next Tuesday at 10/1.

The online bookmaker has chalked up the long odds after it was confirmed the house will vote on the PM’s deal on January 15 - over a month later than originally planned.

Betway thinks it is nailed-on at 1/50 that the ‘noes’ will have it and, though shorter at 1/2, the Prime Minister is now odds-on to resign this year.

It is also odds-on with Betway at 8/15 for the UK to not meet its Brexit date of 29th March and just 6/4 for a second referendum to be called before the end of 2020.

“Finally we have a vote on Theresa May’s Brexit deal, though we don’t think the lengthy delay will play into her hands whatsoever and offer a massive 10/1 for the vote to gain enough support,” Betway’s Alan Alger told Bettingpro.com.

“At 1/50 to be voted down, the PM’s deal looks condemned to the House of Commons’ scrapheap and May is now just 1/2 to walk this year.”
