Ken Livingstone’s odds of becoming the Mayor of London have been cut by leading bookmakers Ladbrokes.

Following Monday's YouGov poll the Labour candidate is just two points behind Boris Johnson and Ladbrokes have been forced to cut Livingstone's odds to 3/1, leaving Johnson to drift out slightly to 2/9 in the market.

The firm have also cut the price for Ken to lose on first preferences, but to win the second round to 16/1 from 20/1.

Support for Independent candidate Siobhan Benita appears to have dried up, leaving her at 50/1 in the market, with Brian Paddick quoted at 100/1.

Jessica Bridge, spokesperson for Ladbrokes, told Bettingpro.com: “According to the latest odds Ken's no longer living dangerously. His comeback could be on sooner rather than later which is bad news for Boris and his backers who thought they had it in the bag.”
