Paddy Power reckon that the next Irish government will be a coalition of Fine Gael and Fianna Fail although they have also seen a bit of support for a Fine Gael/Labour combo.

Paddy Power have made a Fine Gael/Fianna Fáil coalition their 13/8 favourite to be the next government following Labour’s poor showing in the Meath East by-election.

The odds of the Fine Gael/Labour led government surviving the next election have taken a tumble overnight from 13/8 to 7/4.

Meanwhile, Paddy Power make Joan Burton the 11/8 favourite to become the next Labour leader as Tanaiste Eamon Gilmore comes under pressure following the drubbing in the Royal county.

Former leader Ruairí Quinn and Brendan Howlin follow Burton in the betting at 7/1 and 9/1 respectively while party rebel Colm Keaveney is considered a 12/1 shot to lead the party.
