Could a Theresa May/Jeremy Corbyn coalition be on the cards?

Theresa May is set to hold ‘crisis talks’ with opposition leader Jeremy Corbyn in an attempt to deliver Brexit – but just how far will the Prime Minister go in order to solve the United Kingdom’s EU stalemate?

Bookmaker Betway has cut the odds on there being a No Deal Brexit this year into 1/4 following the news that the two main Party leaders will meet, and the firm is offering 33/1 on them forming an unlikely coalition government before the close of 2019.

“Theresa May has cheesed off a number of Tory MPs with her latest move to consult Jeremy Corbyn on Brexit,” Betway’s Alan Alger told Bettingpro.com. “It’s 33/1 for the PM to go one step further and enter into a grand coalition.

“You only have to look at Donald Trump becoming US President, and the fact we’re now three years on from the referendum and still in the European Union, to realise that you can’t write anything off in politics.

“The decision to enter conversations with the other side of the House could help pave the way to Brexit, and we’ve cut the odds of avoiding a No Deal withdrawal from 2/5 to 1/4.”
