Michael Owen's FA Cup predictions and betting tips - Former striker aiming for hat-trick of winning tips

Michael Owen is looking for a hat-trick of successful wagers after 5/1 and 4/1 winning trebles over the last fortnight. Here are his tips for this weekend:

Burnley v Lincoln City

I shall be in east Lancashire with the BT Sport cameras looking for a giant-killing act, but Lincoln City’s main priority this season must be promotion back to the Football League. The Imps are likely to find Burnley too strong given Sean Dyche has turned Turf Moor into something of a fortress for the Clarets so far this season.
Lincoln last reached the fifth round of the FA Cup back in the 1886-7 season when they eventually lost out to non-other than Glasgow Rangers! Their Cup dream may end on Saturday but the Imps will still have much to play for between now and the end of the season.

Michael’s recommendation: Burnley to win to nil at 11/10

Huddersfield Town v Manchester City

Neither side has conceded a goal in the competition so far but I expect to see plenty of chances and goals at the John Smith’s Stadium with both teams in good form of late. The Terriers are unbeaten at home in seven whilst City have won five of their last seven on the road in all competitions. City’s extra touch of class is likely to be the difference in west Yorkshire.

Michael’s recommendation: City to win and both teams to score at 19/10

Middlesbrough v Oxford United

Oxford may have scored more goals (14) than any other side in the competition but they are likely to find things getting much tougher at the Riverside such is the defensive strength of this Boro side who kept Everton at arm’s length last weekend.
Boro don’t score many themselves but I fancy they will make it through to the last eight in a low-scoring affair.

Michael’s recommendation: Boro to win and under 2.5 goals at 6/4

Millwall v Leicester City

With a trip to Sevilla in the Champions League midweek and the visit of Liverpool in the Premier League next weekend the one thing Leicester City could do without is a draw – but I think they will be quite happy to come out of the Lion’s Den with a replay on Saturday.

Michael’s recommendation: Game to finish in a draw at 9/4

Wolverhampton Wanderers v Chelsea

The last side to knock out Liverpool and Chelsea in the FA Cup in the same season was Barnsley back in the 2007/8 season but I can’t see Wolves joining the Tykes. Paul Lambert’s sides form has dipped in recent games losing their last three in the Championship including back-to-back 1-0 home losses to Newcastle and to Wigan earlier in the week.

Chelsea are unlikely to make as many changes as many of the top clubs given they have no European engagements to worry about but I expect Michy Batshuayi to get a start and he is taken to make the most of his opportunity.

Michael’s recommendation: Batshuayi first goal scorer at 10/3

Fulham v Tottenham Hotspur

This looks a cracking London derby with Spurs looking to exorcise those Anfield demons after a horror show against the Reds last weekend. Fulham beat Spurs 4-0 the last time the sides met in the Cup back in 2011 but I expect the Premier League side to progress but not without a few scares along the way.
Spurs were in Europa League action in Belgium on Thursday evening and will be pleased they don’t have far to travel for Sunday’s tie. I like this Fulham side and it would be no surprise to me if they made the play-offs despite the fact that they are currently six points adrift of the side (Sheffield Wednesday) in sixth place in the table.

Michael’s recommendation: Spurs to win and both teams to score at 23/10

Blackburn Rovers v Manchester United

United are likely to make changes for the trip to Ewood Park but they have a quality squad who can cope with the workload and I expect Jose Mourinho’s side to win comfortably enough in ninety minutes.

Michael’s recommendation: United to lead at halftime and fulltime at 21/20

Sutton United v Arsenal

Once again, and as expected, Arsenal came up well short against the very best in Munich earlier in the week. They are likely, however, to have far too much for National League Sutton United who warmed up for the tie by losing at relegation-threatened Guiseley midweek.

Michael’s recommendation: Arsenal -2 on the handicap at 23/20

Michael’s Weekend Wager

Boro, Chelsea and Spurs to all win at 3/1
