Sydney Roosters v North Queensland Cowboys Predictions

Sydney Roosters v North Queensland Cowboys Preview and Tips

North Queensland Cowboys have had to do things the hard way but remain just one win away from a spot in the Grand Final as they prepare to face Sydney Roosters at Allianz Stadium.

The Cowboys' road to the Preliminary Final has seen them record two wins on the road - a 15-14 Golden Point success over Cronulla Sharks and a 24-16 success over Parramatta Eels in last week's Semi Final.

Now the men from Townsville, who snuck into the finals at the last minute, face a third successive away fixture as they try to cause another upset and deny the Roosters a place in the Grand Final.

The Roosters enjoyed a weekend off last week having defeated the Brisbane Broncos 24-22 in the Qualifying Final in the opening weekend of the finals action.

History favours the Sydneysiders too with the Roosters having won four of their last five games against the Cowboys, including a 22-16 success at Allianz Stadium in Round 21 this year. A similar success looks on the cards but expect only a try in it.

The way the Cowboys' finals have gone so far, it suggests unders is the way to bet on the total points. But I think there could be tries in this one so take over 36.5 total points.
