REVEALED: Bookies predict Tiger Roll’s SP price for 2019 Grand National

Bookmaker Ladbrokes has opened betting on Tiger Roll’s starting price in the Grand National this Saturday.

Tiger Roll is currently 7/2 to win the showpiece race at Aintree, but Ladbrokes is not ruling out the possibility of him starting the race as the shortest price in Grand National history.

The firm is 10/1 that Tiger Roll goes off 5/2 or shorter, with an SP from 11/4 to 7/2 priced at 11/10 and an SP of 4/1 to 11/2 being offered at 5/4.

Ladbrokes do not expect Gordon Elliott’s super star to drift too much, making it 33/1 that he goes off 8/1 or bigger.

“Tiger Roll has been threatening to beat Golden Miller’s record in 1935 by going off as the shortest-priced favourite in Grand National history,” spokesperson Nicola McGeady told Bettingpro.com.

“It is certainly possible given how incredibly popular he has been, but we reckon he will stay around his current price of 7/2.”
