Omega European Masters betting tips for this week’s European Tour tournament. Read on for our expert tips for the Omega European Masters taking place at Crans-sur-Sierre Golf Club in Switzerland.

Omega European Masters

There is just one event for golf punters this week and it's on the European tour with the Omega European Masters from the stunning Crans-sur-Sierre Golf Club in Switzerland. This is one of the most picturesque stops on the golfing year and as the event is played in high altitude, surrounded by the beautiful Swiss Alps it's a tournament where previous course form is essential.

Rory McIlroy tops the betting at 9/2 and the Irishman will be a very popular selection with punters after his success at least weeks Tour Championships, but with a $15 million cheque in his back pocket and totally different conditions to East Lakes, he may well look one to avoid as he has no course form to go on either and he may have been celebrating the big money winner over the last few days.

Other leading contenders this week are Tommy Fleetwood at 12/1, Matt Wallace a 25/1 and last week’s winner Erik van Rooyen also at 25/1, but all three of those haven't come anywhere near to my shortlist of potential winners this week.

Three From The Tee

Matthew Fitzpatrick @ 8/1 bet365
* Odds correct at 09:15 BST on 28/8/2019

One man who has some excellent course form and knowledge is tournament second favourite MATTHEW FITZPATRICK and at the general price of 8/1, it is just impossible to ignore the claims of the in-form Englishman. Fitzpatrick is bidding for a hat-trick of wins at Crans-sur-Sierre after successes in 2017 and 2018 and with a runner-up finish in 2015 and a seventh in 2016, he certainly has the course form and he looks an each-way bet to nothing given his tournament record. Not only has Fitzpatrick some excellent form at this event, but he heads into his favourite tournament of the year in great shape as well. Last week the 24 year-old finished runner-up at the Scandinavian Invitational, where he finished with a 64 which sees him arrives with confidence sky high and that superb display in Sweden was after a fourth over in America at the St Jude Invitational in a star-studded line-up. Fitzpatrick's last eight rounds of golf have all been sub 70 and he really ticks every box this week and hopefully he will be celebrating his 25th birthday on Sunday with another win in the Alps.

Andrew Johnston @ 55/1 bet365
* Odds correct at 09:15 BST on 28/8/2019

The hills will be alive to the sound of "BEEF" this weekend and ANDREW JOHNSTON is my second pick at 55/1. Johnston hasn't had the best of seasons in 2019, but the signs are that he is coming into form and he look a nice each-way play at the current prices. Last week in Sweden "beef" finished just inside the top 10 and with a fourth at the Scottish Open two starts ago he is coming into form at a course where he has played well in the past. Last year, when not in the best of shape the Englishman finished in 30th, but in 2016 in the middle of a very good run he ended the week in third and at he looks a nice price to add to his only European Tour win which was at the Open de Espana also in 2016.

Ashun Wu @ 110/1 bet365
* Odds correct at 09:15 BST on 28/8/2019

China's ASHUN WU has has a 2019 to forget , but the 34 year-old played well last week in Sweden up until a final round 72 saw him finish in 20th on the leader-board, but a three-time European Tour winner and a player with an excellent record around Crans-sur-Sierre shouldn't be 110/1 which looks a very nice price. Wu, has missed a lot of cuts over the summer, but his performance last week was a good one and given that he has finished  inside the top 10 in the last two years at this event the odds on offer are well worthy of support.
